The Appalachian Trail, generally known as the the A.T., is about 2,200 miles long. The trail extends between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine. It passes through 14 states: Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. In 2016 I hiked part of the AT (below is how it played out for me)……..this year 2018 I’m going back to finish what I started!
